About Laura

Hi! My name is Laura and I have been an RD (Registered Dietitian) for the WIC (women, infants & children) Nutrition program at the Health Department in Florida since January 2009.

I LOVE everything about food and nutrition! I love the science of nutrition and am constantly researching to stay up to date in this ever changing field. After a year of research I finally dove in to my new paleo/primal lifestyle and I'm enjoying sharing this journey. So...enjoy, and thanks for coming!!

I graduated with a B.S. in Dietetics from The University of Alabama. Needless to say, the one thing I love most besides nutrition is Alabama Football- ROLL TIDE!!! I'm also currently working on my Masters degree in Nutrition.

  7. Laura, I recently discovered your blog and I love it! Your recipes look great! I've only just started my blog so it's still under construction haha. I've actually been thinking about doing more with WIC in my area after I complete my DI. Can I ask what some of the things are that you do with the program in Florida? Thanks!

    1. Hey Anna! Glad you found me! I'll make sure to come by and see what your blog is all about. :) I'd be happy to answer any questions you have. I'm actually about to do a guest post on another RDs page about what is involved in being a WIC dietitian. Her blog is Picky Eating RD and you can find the link on my "Blog Love" page. Feel free to email me though at adventuresinwic@gmail.com
